May 2013 Update

ASM-PACE is moving from research to action. The Programme will continue the dialogue on critical ASM in PACE issues through providing a knowledge platform for relevant stakeholders, and partnering with other institutions to deepen our collective understanding of the issues and opportunities, including investigating new management strategies for ASM in PACE.

We are currently seeking: projects, partners, and donors wishing to be involved in the following activities:

- Building and/or strengthening the capacity of national and regional governments, industrial mining operators, conservation stakeholders, policy makers and academic institutions to manage ASM in PACE within targeted biodiversity hotspot countries.

- Heightening the profile of the ASM in PACE issue among relevant stakeholders and building the awareness of cross-cutting issues.
